Last call for the swimsuit slim down! OK, maybe you blew it for the New Year’s resolution and Spring Break when you imagined yourself slimmed down enough feel comfortable getting back into a swimsuit. Do not give up; you still have time, plus a whole summer to enjoy the beach or the pool!
Step 1 – Nutrition
OK ladies, you know the drill! We have to get our nutrition right so we can get our bodies nice, fit, and healthy. I know- that that can be harder than exercising, but food plays a significant role in how you look, feel, and perform. So, toss the junk food and plan your meals, that way you are not tempted to the “guilty side” and you know that is how we feel when we give into junk food temptation. Always carry a protein bar with you so you do not have to feel overly hungry and reach for the wrong type of food.
Step 2- Exercise
Next, up is exercising and no I am not asking you to join a gym but if you do have a gym membership, get in there!Start with a realistic 3x a week and as you get used to it then go up to 5x week. If you do not have a gym membership, get moving! You can walk, go jogging, put some music on and dance like no one is watching! My point is, just get moving because it will help you get to your goal and into your swimsuit!
Step 3- Hydrate with Water
Whatever you do, do not forget to stay hydrated. You need to drink plenty of water. Get rid of drinks that are full of calories and chemicals. One of the top hydrating waters is called “Penta”. It is great for the summer heat!
Being kind to yourself by eating healthy, exercising, drinking plenty of water, and thinking positive thoughts will help you get healthy and stay motivated. Do not let your failures get you down when you mess up, keep moving forward; you will eventually reach your goal!
