Just like anyone else, I do happen to have my weaknesses, and one of them is…..ice-cream! Furthermore, one of my favorite places to get ice-cream from is Jeni’s. Can you hear me now in my Forrest Gump voice? “I love you, Jeni!” You know what? I could probably eat my weight in Jeni’s ice-cream and then cry all the way to the scale too. That is why I need a delicious, nutritious, antioxidant-rich popsicle treat to help me out and satisfy my kids too!

OK, so here is the deal; You really do not need a recipe! All you need is:

*Antioxidant-rich fruit of your choice berries, pomegranate, mangoes, etc. You can even sneak a little kale and spinach for some antioxidant greens too! Being sneaky never tasted so good!
*Popsicle mold (You can find some nice-quality Popsicle molds at Amazon.com for around $10 and up)
*Anything else you want to add!

This Summer Chill Out With These Easy to Make Treats for You, the Kids, and Your Friends

Children are most likely to eat what they make, so let your kiddos get involved and make a few pops too. Try to have a variety of fruit to add flavor, color, and textures, which allows them to be creative, even though your goal is to keep their treat nice and natural. You can blend a smoothie or use a sparkling water-juice mixture with cut up fruit, then pour into the mold. Pinterest has a variety of ideas for Popsicles that you can make at home! What a delicious way to enjoy something yummy, natural and with less sugar than most prepackaged and processed treats.
*For an extra “sweet-n-special” treat, you can dip frozen bananas or kiwi on a stick into a melted good-quality dark chocolate because after all, dark chocolate has antioxidants too!:)

Why not take your Popsicle game up to the next level with a little bit of wine? Come on; you know the adult in you wants to be creative too, so why not make your own fancy frozen sangria pops-ooh deliciosos! You will be boosting your micronutrients because red wine is rich in the antioxidant resveratrol. Add a little orange juice for sweetness and flavor, a dash of cinnamon, and either use fresh cut fruit or puree it, call it a day and say “Ole!
