The best way to test for candida is through a stool test. It is a non-invasive test that involves one easy stool collection. We recognize that some people do not feel comfortable talking about yeast or stool; they just want information. We, however, know how important it is to get tested for Candida and how to correct the gut health if candida is present.
What exactly is Candida? Candida is a fungus and it is commonly referred to as a yeast infection. This is not the kind of yeast that is known as a vaginal yeast infection; candida does not discriminate based on gender. Both male and female can have an overgrowth of Candida. Yeast is usually found in the skin, mouth, intestine and mucocutaneous junctions. A little bit of Candida is usually without symptoms, but the problem is that it can become an overgrowth issue and that is when it can cause all kinds of health problems. When candida growth is healthy, it can help assist with nutrient absorption and digestion. On the other hand, when there is a candida overgrowth it can infect every organ system, leading to a wide range of symptoms which affect the GI tract, energy, sinuses, hair health, energy, brain fog, absorption and even your skin.
Here is a list of symptoms people may have that are suffering from a Candida overgrowth.
Bloating or Belching
Chronic Sinus and Allergies
Fatigue and Mood Swings
Vaginal Itching, Burning or Discharge
Weak Immune System
White Coat on Tongue
These are the kind of symptoms that you do not want to leave unchecked. They are also the kind of symptoms that can be associated with or lead to other health conditions, either way, you to need to know why if Candida is the cause for your symptoms.
