Have you been considering testing for MTHFR? The chances are that you or someone close to you is having health issues and trying to find solutions and healing the holistic way including reading about MTHFR testing. MTHFR is an abbreviation for a very long word, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase, yup it is a mouthful! MTHFR is a gene, and about 40 percent of the population is positive for having a mutation of the MTHFR. It is very complicated and continuously being researched in the science field. Here are a few examples of why you need to know if you are positive for MTHFR.
Being diagnosed with or having feelings of depression and mood swings are just two reasons why you should find out if you are positive for MTHFR. The truth is that someone who is on anti-depressant medications may perhaps have low amounts of folate. Be honest, which would you rather have, antidepressants with side effects or natural folate supplements? I say this because people who have this MTHFR gene mutation either have a hard time or simply are not able to convert folic acid into a usable form called methylfolate; which the MTHFR gene is responsible for converting.
Another reason to know if you are positive for the gene mutation is that knowing may prevent future health issues. This gene mutation has been linked to multiple problems such as Schizophrenia, Parkinson’s, heart disease, multiple miscarriages, colon cancer, and much more. Considering that researchers have estimated about half the population has this mutation, why wouldn’t someone want to get tested? Anyone who has high homocysteine levels or whom themselves or someone in their family has cardiovascular disease, ADHD, Autism, and depression to name a few should highly consider getting tested. The MTHFR gene mutation will also get in the way of eliminating toxins and absorbing nutrients, which in turn will cause other health issues. Don’t fret; there is hope! We offer an MTHFR test that you can order and get your results including a protocol within about three weeks! Be ahead of the game and find out today whether or not you test positive.
