Food Intolerance, Sensitivity & Gluten Testing

Do you struggle with bloating, digestive discomfort, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, skin issues, joint discomfort, inflammation, or difficulty losing weight?

Food reactions are not always obvious. Many people think they would know right away if a food was bothering them, but food intolerances and sensitivities can create delayed reactions that show up hours or even days after eating.

This advanced testing helps evaluate both broad food reactions and deeper wheat/gluten-related concerns, giving you a more complete picture of how food may be affecting your health.

What This Test Looks At

This testing evaluates delayed reactions to 96 commonly consumed foods, including foods from major categories such as dairy, eggs, grains, meats, fish, shellfish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, spices, and more.

Unlike many food sensitivity tests that look at only one immune pathway, this panel evaluates both IgG and IgA immune responses. Two immune pathways, not just one like most other tests.

IgG reactions are often associated with inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, joint discomfort, headaches, skin concerns, and weight loss resistance.

IgA reactions are especially important for the gut and may provide insight into digestive irritation, gut immune activity, bloating, and other digestive concerns.

Food Intolerance vs Food Allergy

This is not an IgE food allergy test.

IgE allergies are usually immediate reactions and may include hives, swelling, wheezing, difficulty breathing, or anaphylaxis.

Food intolerances and sensitivities are different. These reactions are often delayed and may contribute to symptoms such as bloating, inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, skin issues, headaches, joint discomfort, and digestive problems.

Many people searching for a food allergy test are actually looking for answers related to food intolerance, food sensitivity, or delayed food reactions.

What About Wheat and Gluten?

Our 96 Food Sensitivity Panel evaluates reactions to wheat and other grains through both IgG and IgA immune pathways. However, for individuals seeking a more comprehensive evaluation of gluten-related concerns, our Wheat & Gluten Intolerance Test goes much deeper by assessing multiple gluten components, celiac-associated markers, and indicators of intestinal permeability (leaky gut).

Wheat sensitivity and gluten intolerance are not always the same thing. Some people react to wheat as a food, while others may have immune reactions to specific gluten proteins, gluten peptides, or celiac-associated markers.

For people who want more complete gluten answers, this page includes testing options that evaluate gluten-related immune activity, celiac-associated markers, and gut health indicators such as intestinal permeability, often referred to as leaky gut.

This is especially helpful for individuals with digestive issues, autoimmune concerns, chronic inflammation, brain fog, fatigue, skin concerns, or a history of feeling better when avoiding gluten.

Why Testing Both Food and Gluten Can Be Helpful

Many people blame gluten for everything, but gluten may not be the only issue.

Some individuals discover they are reacting to dairy, eggs, nuts, meat, chicken, turkey, legumes, fruits, vegetables, or other foods they eat regularly. Others need a deeper look at gluten, wheat, celiac-related markers, and gut barrier health.

Testing both broad food reactions and gluten-related markers can provide a much more complete picture.

This can help identify:

Delayed food reactions
Wheat sensitivity
Gluten-related immune activity
Celiac-associated markers
IgG and IgA immune responses
Gut health and intestinal permeability clues
Foods that may contribute to inflammation and symptoms

Who May Benefit From This Testing?

This testing may be helpful if you experience:

Bloating
Gas
Digestive discomfort
Brain fog
Fatigue
Headaches
Skin issues
Joint discomfort
Inflammation
Mast Cell
Dysautoninia or POTS
Lyme
Weight loss resistance
Autoimmune concerns
Gluten sensitivity symptoms
Wheat sensitivity symptoms
Unexplained symptoms after eating

Blood Draw Information

This testing requires just one blood draw, even when ordering both the Food Sensitivity Test and the Wheat & Gluten Intolerance Test together.

After your order is placed, we will mail your test kit and email you information for a laboratory collection site near you. In many areas, mobile blood draw services are also available, allowing a trained professional to come directly to your home or office for specimen collection.

Blood draw fees are separate from the cost of the testing and typically range from approximately $55–$85, depending on your location and collection option selected.

Many clients appreciate that multiple tests can often be completed from a single blood draw, making the process simple and convenient.

Food Test Results

Results are typically emailed within 2–3 weeks after the laboratory receives your sample.

Your results also include personalized recommendations to help you better understand your findings and identify potential next steps.

**Due to laboratory regulations, this test is not available for residents of New York State.
